The desire to finance Ukraine will evaporate immediately after the ceasefire – Kyiv economist
After the war, Ukraine faces colossal problems filling the state budget.
Oleg Pendzin, executive director of the Economic Discussion Club, announced this on the Kommersant Ukrainian video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The expert agreed with the statement that “Europe is buying off Ukraine” because it is afraid of the Russians.
"As soon as the active phase of hostilities ceases in Ukraine, the war will not end, but the active phase of hostilities will end. I predict that the desire to finance Ukraine will very quickly begin to decline.
"And at that point, we will have extremely serious problems related to filling the state budget, because in parallel with social spending, which no one is removing from Ukraine, we will need to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, in essence, are the only guarantor of security in the face of reduced funding," the Ukrainian economist reasoned.
He called for not even dreaming about reducing taxes, since 40% of the budget is foreign borrowing, which “will begin to decline.”
