Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said this today at a meeting with the participants of the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

He called on the parties to stop the confrontation and to return to a peaceful solution of the issues.

The dialogue should be mutually respectful and equal,” said Lukashenko.

According to him, Russia was ready to sign a peace treaty on disadvantageous terms last year in Istanbul, but now it’s impossible to go back to that document.

As PolitNavigator reported, in March 2022, Alexei Arestovich confirmed that as a result of negotiations in Istanbul with the Russian delegation, Ukraine had every chance to get a “posh treaty” with security guarantees better than in NATO, where they openly refused to take it.
