Ukraine was planning a terrorist attack on the territory of Russia using a “dirty” bomb.

The terrorist attack was organized by the GUR of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. For this they planned to use light motor aviation, which delivered the explosives to the territory of the Russian Federation.
During the investigation of a sabotage prepared in May 2023 to blow up long-range aircraft deployed at the airfield “Severny” in Ivanovo region, it became known about the plans of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry to commit an act of terror on Russian territory using a so-called “dirty bomb,” – said the FSB.
The agents recruited by the GUR were to plant timed bombs that would contaminate the environment if detonated. Russian security forces detained the two pilots who were involved in the delivery of the explosives. They made a confession.
A service was set up in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, which included light motor aviation for supplying saboteurs and bombing power facilities. The coordination of the use of this aviation was assigned to military unit No. 3449 with the provisional name of “Legion. A plan to deliver and plant dirty bombs with timers was developed there – to detonate and render the area uninhabitable,” the FSB said.
